TicoTazo, To create a 'free node' (in a MS Windows environment-the keystroke sequence for other platforms might be different), CTRL-CLICK anywhere in a free space on the map. If I drag it to an arbitrary position, a connector always appears. I thought "free positioned node" should do this, but when I check the option, the node glues itself to the root node. I can't figure out how to get a free positioned node to move to an arbitrary location on the map without a connector to the root node. Tried searching forum on this question, but search would not complete because free, positioned and node are too common.
